With over fifteen years’ experience as a psychologist across both the public and private health sectors, Shara brings a wealth of knowledge to her work with adults experiencing a diverse range of concerns. Shara previously held the position of Assistant Director at a national counselling service for veterans and their families for over four years. In this role, she developed extensive experience providing support and supervision to mental health professionals. Shara is also a Board-Approved Supervisor.
Shara is passionate about providing high-quality, evidence-based psychological services to support individuals in improving their mental health and wellbeing. She incorporates a range of evidence-based treatments and strategies into her practice, with a particular interest in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), a goal-directed approach used to support a variety of psychological concerns..
Recognising that each client is unique, Shara is committed to tailoring therapy to each person’s individual needs, goals, and circumstances. Shara believes that with the right support and guidance, meaningful positive change is possible. Clients working with Shara can expect empathy, compassion, transparency, and, occasional humour.
