She has had personal lived experience with many of the areas of her clinical focus (neurodiversity, depression, anxiety, perinatal mental health issues, insomnia, stress/overwhelm). Amy brings a unique understanding of the challenges involved with each presentation. Her approach is grounded in empathy, evidence-based care, and an openness to ongoing learning. Amy has 6 years of experience in therapeutic roles – first as a Mental Health/Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner and now as a Psychologist.
Amy draws on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Insomnia (CBTi), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness, and EMDR. When not working, Amy enjoys walking, tennis, hiking, reading, cuddling with her pets, catching up with friends, and spending time with her husband and three children
